For years I've read about how you need to multiple streams of income to be rich. To an extent, this is very true because one cant survive, let alone be rich from 1 income. I'll mention the 7 streams I know and how i managed to make an income in some of them.

1. Remuneration - This is your salary. Its the easiest way to make money. You get a job and make money it. You trade your time for money. Even if you run your own business, you still need to pay yourself a salary. I'm self employed so my business pays my salary

2. Revenue - This is selling something for money. You get paid when you deliver the goods or service. Its also a common 1. I have a company called Siyabuddy Recycling and Waste Management that gives me revenue every month. This money may not go straight into your lifestyle as you have costs in running the business, but the profit from it goes to you and you can reinvest it in your business or you can use it for sponsoring your life

3. Rent - Find something that you own that you can rent out. I have an apartment that I own and rent our to tenants. Some people rent out their cars as taxis. Other people rent out their machines, their contracts, etc. 

4. Returns - you get these when you invest in things such as stock or interest bearing savings accounts. You can also get this by loaning out money with interest. early in 2020, before the lockdown, i used to offer my employees interest bearing loans. The thing about this is that you have to work within the law and ensure that you are willing to lose the money. High risk and high return vibes. 

5. Rights - These have to do with trade marks and patents. You get paid because you own the rights to a particular brand or process or machine. People pay to use those rights. Im not there yet. You do this when you franchise etc. 

6. Royalties - royalties are most common in the arts industry. Artist get paid royalties on their creations for generations on end. Whether they are from music, movies, paintings, etc. 

7. Replication - Finally if you can, Replicate these things as much as possible. You will increase your income. 

I hope this makes sense. Don't forget to make targets of how much you want to make and choose the streams you want to make it with. This doesn't come overnight so be patient with yourself. There is a lot of trial and error
